You decide when Dokploy is updated: we do not apply updates on our own.
Before you update
Back up your databases (how) and, if you are jumping to a new major version, read the release notes in the Dokploy documentation.
From the panel
Under Settings → Web Server, check for a new version and update from there.
From the terminal
Log in over SSH as root and run the official installer in update mode:
curl -sSL https://dokploy.com/install.sh | sh -s update
Afterwards, check that the services are running with docker service ls: dokploy, dokploy-postgres and dokploy-redis should show 1/1.
Do not update Docker yourself
The Docker packages are held at the version Dokploy expects, so that a system update does not change them. Do not force their update: if Dokploy needs another version, its own updater will say so.
Update the operating system
apt update && apt upgrade -y
The Docker packages stay as they are. If it asks you to reboot, reboot: Dokploy and your applications start again on their own.
