01Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (the "AUP") forms part of the Terms and Conditions and applies to every client and service. Its aim is to protect our infrastructure, our other clients and third parties. By using our services you agree to comply with it.
02Prohibited content and activities
You may not use the services to host, transmit, link to or facilitate, among others:
- Illegal content: child sexual abuse material, content promoting terrorism, hatred, discrimination or violence.
- Intellectual-property infringement: piracy, unlicensed distribution of software, media or games, counterfeit goods.
- Malware and fraud: viruses, ransomware, phishing, scam pages, carding or any deceptive activity.
- Spam: unsolicited bulk email, open mail relays, or any practice that harms our IP reputation.
- Network attacks: DDoS, port scanning, intrusion attempts, exploits, brute-forcing or any attempt to compromise systems, whether ours or third parties'.
- Stresser / booter services and any tool designed to attack third parties.
- Cryptocurrency mining.
- Unlicensed gambling and adult (NSFW) content where not expressly permitted.
03Fair use of resources
Shared and burstable resources are provided for normal game-hosting and application workloads. You may not:
- Sustain abusive CPU, RAM or disk-I/O usage that degrades the experience of other clients on shared infrastructure.
- Use the service primarily as remote storage, a backup dump or a download/seedbox farm where this is not the purpose of the plan.
- Run processes that destabilise the node or evade the resource limits of your plan.
Where consumption exceeds the fair use of your plan, we may ask you to upgrade or may apply proportionate limits.
04Game servers and third-party software
When running game servers (Minecraft, FiveM, Hytale and others) you must comply with the terms, EULAs and licences of the corresponding publisher or platform (for example the Minecraft EULA or the FiveM/Cfx.re terms). You are responsible for the legality of the mods, plugins, builds and content you install.
05Reselling and hosting third parties
You may resell the services you contract, or use them to host third parties, provided that:
- You remain our only client. You are responsible for payment, for compliance with this AUP and for the conduct of every user you grant access to, as if their acts were your own.
- Support is ours to you, not to your users. We only deal with the account holder. We will not provide support, credentials or data to your end users, nor will we enter into any relationship with them.
- You do not use our brand. The Astrol Nodes name and logos may not be used to market your service without our written permission.
- You can identify who is responsible. Where there is an abuse report or a legal requirement, you must be able to tell us, at our request, which of your users is responsible for the affected service.
- No public anonymity services. Open proxies, public or anonymous VPNs, Tor exit nodes and bulk-mailing services are not permitted, whether run by you or by your users.
Reselling does not extend your rights: the resource limits, support and refund policy apply to your contract with us, not to each of your end users. Where abuse originates from one of your users we may suspend the affected service, and if it recurs, apply the measures in the "Consequences of a breach" section to your account as a whole.
06Security responsibilities
- Keep your software and applications updated and securely configured.
- Protect your credentials and access keys.
- Do not use the service to compromise the security of others.
- Report any vulnerability you find responsibly, without exploiting it.
07Consequences of a breach
Depending on the severity, a breach of this AUP may result in:
- A warning and a request to remedy the issue.
- Immediate suspension of the service where there is a serious or imminent risk, or illegal activity.
- Termination of the service without a refund.
- Blocking of the IP address or account.
- Cooperation with the competent authorities where legally required.
08Reporting abuse
If you detect any abuse, illegal content or security incident involving our services, please report it through a support ticket or at [email protected], including as much detail as possible (IP, URL, date and description). We will investigate and act accordingly.
