If after the trial you decide it's not for you, you pay nothing. If you keep it, billing starts the next day at the regular price.

How to start your FiveM server (license, txAdmin and connecting)

FiveM servers 6 views Updated 2 Aug 2026

The essentials to get your FiveM server ready: the mandatory free license, txAdmin, the framework and how to connect.

Your FiveM server installs itself in a couple of minutes and is managed from the panel. Here's the essentials to get it running.

1. Your FiveM license (free and mandatory)

FiveM requires your own license key (it's free). Create one at keymaster.fivem.net for a "self-hosted" server and add it during the txAdmin setup or in your server.cfg (sv_licenseKey line). Without that key the server won't start.

2. txAdmin comes preinstalled

Your server includes txAdmin (the web panel to manage FiveM). The first time you start it, the Console in the panel shows a link with a PIN: open it and follow the wizard to finish setup.

3. 1-click framework

You can install ESX, QBCore, QBox, vRP or ND_Core with a single click. Pick the one you'll use as the base for your city.

4. Connect and share the IP with your players

Grab the address (IP:port) from your server's main page in the panel. To join: open FiveM, press F8 and type connect IP:port.
